Static Elimination

Technical Principle of Static-Eliminating Ropes

Static electricity is ionized and then safely conducted away to eliminate the electrostatic charge.

Compared with conventional static-elimination equipment—such as ionizers and anti-static bars—rope-type static eliminators offer numerous advantages. They are economical, lightweight, easy to install, and require no electricity. They consume no energy and require virtually no maintenance.

Our static-eliminating ropes are manufactured from a specially patented material. Unlike conventional anti-static products that use copper conductors, they do not oxidize or cause contamination. This makes them suitable for a wide variety of demanding production environments.

At a time of serious environmental pollution, worldwide emphasis on environmental protection, and rising inflation, static-eliminating ropes offer an ideal solution through their low cost, energy efficiency, reduced carbon emissions, and pollution-free operation.

Static-Eliminating Rope Series

Product Types

  1. General-Purpose Static-Eliminating Rope
  2. Elastic Static-Eliminating Rope
  3. New-Generation Static-Eliminating Ionizing Cord

Elastic Static-Eliminating Rope

Designed for special operating environments, such as splicing equipment used for roll materials. Its elastic design allows equipment maintenance and operation to be carried out without removing the static-eliminating rope.

New-Generation Static-Eliminating Ionizing Cord

Specially designed for narrow spaces and small clearances in equipment such as printing presses, web-feeding machines, stacking machines, and laminating machines.

It effectively eliminates static electricity from sheet materials moving through narrow gaps, allowing the sheets to be stacked neatly and evenly.

Installation Instructions

Secure one end of the static-eliminating rope, extend the rope across the surface where static electricity is generated, and fasten the other end to an exposed metal surface of the machine.

Adjust the distance between the static-eliminating rope and the sheet material. A distance of less than 2 inches (approximately 5 cm) is recommended. The optimal distance may vary according to the intensity of the static charge. Adjust the position as necessary until the static electricity is effectively eliminated.

The rope may be installed either above or below the sheet material. Multiple ropes may also be installed simultaneously to improve static-elimination performance.

Suitable Applications

  • Web converting and conveying systems
  • Standard printing
  • General printing
  • Large-format and wide-web printing presses
  • Gravure printing
  • Coating and laminating equipment
  • OEM equipment
  • Screen printing
  • Packaging machinery

Fixed Static-Eliminating Bar

The static-eliminating bar is one of the most advanced products among passive static eliminators. Its entire 360-degree surface is covered with ultra-fine conductive fibers. It can effectively eliminate static electricity regardless of the running speed of the sheet material or the strength of the electrostatic charge.

The static-eliminating bar requires no cleaning or calibration and does not reduce production efficiency. It is particularly suitable for high-capacity production equipment.

This product has been installed on equipment operated by many major corporations, including 3M, Kodak, and Alcan.

Specifications

Custom lengths are available from 1 to 140 inches.

Installation Instructions

Secure one end of the static-eliminating bar to the machine and maintain a distance of approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) from the product surface.
